The University of Kelaniya proudly publishes the Sri Lanka Journal of Sustainable Development Studies, an annual, peer-reviewed journal spearheaded by the Centre for Sustainability Solutions. Journal of Science of the University of Kelaniya (JOSUK) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Faculty of Science of the University of Kelaniya. This Journal publishes two issues per year in May and December.

The journal has a wider coverage of subject areas of all aspects of science. The journal accepts original research work as research articles and short communications.

The Journal of Global Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya. It serves as a multidisciplinary platform for critical inquiry into global, regional, and local issues through the lenses of social science, humanities, and development studies. The Journal of Multidisciplinary and Translational Research (JMTR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya. 

The International Conference on Applied and Pure Sciences (ICAPS) is a prestigious annual academic event organized by the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya. The conference serves as a global platform for researchers, academics, scientists, and industry experts to present their latest findings and innovations across a wide range of disciplines within the natural sciences.

ICAPS fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration in fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, and Molecular Biology. The International Multidisciplinary Desk Research Conference (DRC) is a flagship academic event hosted by the University of Kelaniya that brings together researchers, educators, and practitioners from diverse fields to engage in high-impact desk-based research. Emphasizing non-empirical, literature-driven investigations, this conference cultivates evidence-based insights across multiple disciplines, including social sciences, management, education, economics, environmental studies, public health, and technology. 

The International Conference on Business and Information (ICBI), hosted by the University of Kelaniya, serves as a premier forum where academia, business leaders, and technology experts converge to discuss how digital advancements can drive economic and social transformation. 

The International Postgraduate Research Conference (IPRC), organized annually by the University of Kelaniya, showcases original research by postgraduate scholars spanning diverse academic fields. The conference emphasizes early-career research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentorship, offering a global stage for emerging scholars to present innovative and impactful work. 

The University of Kelaniya will host Sri Lanka’s first combined International Conference on Child Protection (ICCP 2025) and the 3rd Conference of the Centre for Gender Studies, bringing together more than 375 local and international delegates across medicine, science, social sciences, IT, humanities, law, and law enforcement. Designed around a holistic child-protection framework that integrates criminal-justice, health, and psychosocial responses, the conference features research presentations, multidisciplinary panels, and pre-conference workshops on abstract writing, ethical media reporting, and multisectoral case management. Supported by UNICEF and coordinated with key agencies such as the National Child Protection Authority, ICCP 2025 provides a platform for practitioners, academics, and policymakers to exchange best practices, address service gaps, and strengthen collaborative networks for safeguarding children and advancing gender equity in Sri Lanka and beyond.
