The University of Kelaniya proudly publishes the Sri Lanka Journal of Sustainable Development Studies, an annual, peer-reviewed journal spearheaded by the Centre for Sustainability Solutions. Journal of Science of the University of Kelaniya (JOSUK) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Faculty of Science of the University of Kelaniya. This Journal publishes two issues per year in May and December.
The journal has a wider coverage of subject areas of all aspects of science. The journal accepts original research work as research articles and short communications.
The Journal of Global Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya. The University of Kelaniya will host Sri Lanka’s first combined International Conference on Child Protection (ICCP 2025) and the 3rd Conference of the Centre for Gender Studies, bringing together more than 375 local and international delegates across medicine, science, social sciences, IT, humanities, law, and law enforcement. Designed around a holistic child-protection framework that integrates criminal-justice, health, and psychosocial responses, the conference features research presentations, multidisciplinary panels, and pre-conference workshops on abstract writing, ethical media reporting, and multisectoral case management. Supported by UNICEF and coordinated with key agencies such as the National Child Protection Authority, ICCP 2025 provides a platform for practitioners, academics, and policymakers to exchange best practices, address service gaps, and strengthen collaborative networks for safeguarding children and advancing gender equity in Sri Lanka and beyond.
